My Response
After the problem stage and discovering the issues faced within the fashion rental market it was now time to move on and focus of creating a solution suited to the needs of my target consumer. With the problem being an overwhelming sense of stress during the process of of renting fashion I needed to create something that was reliable, stress-free and convenient.
My aim was to create an alternative way of fashion rental that resolved the issues currently faced by fashion rental consumers. this led me to creating a fashion rental app with a personal styling service, this app allows for for the user to fill out their personal calendar with upcoming events that they need an outfit for which are then assigned to stylists where three outfits are conceptualised for the user to to choose one for their dedicated event.
Throughout this brief it was crucial that all decisions aligned with the wants and needs of my target audience, this included design considerations throughout the project both in the outcome and throughout the report itself. I wanted to ensure a stress free process when it came to this app which is what influenced the minimal layout of my report and application whilst still following my concept design.
Skills
Self Motivation: In fashion, being self-motivated is important. It helps push boundaries, stay innovative, and constantly improve designs, which is key to making a name for myself in the fashion industry.
Problem Solving: Being good at problem-solving is a must in fashion and industry. It helps deal with issues like conceptual or outcome problems, making sure work and outcomes are ready on time and meet high-quality standards.
Design Considerations: Paying attention to design considerations is important. It means creating outcomes that not only look aesthetically pleasing but are suited to the target audience which is a valuable skill.
Application Design: Knowing how to design applications is a big advantage. It has allowed me to digitalise creations and platforms for fashion rental, virtual try-ons, and personal styling, this is more accessible and engaging.
Content Creation: Being skilled at content creation allows me to create well thought out visuals and stories that showcase work tailored to the target consumer, boosting brand awareness and engagement.
